During the 46th year anniversary of the Communist Party of the Philippines, a communist leader here said “the revolutionary struggle continues to grow ever stronger toward victory in the southernmost region of the country.”
Tropical Storm Seniang on Sunday lashed the entire Southern Mindanao region triggering land slides in some areas in Compostela Valley province and swelling of rivers in Davao del Norte.
This was revealed when the mayor reacted to the facebook posts of Communist Party of the Philippines founding chairman, Jose Maria Sison who said that “Mayor Duterte should become president if he is willing to have a democratic coalition government with the revolutionary forces and other patriotic and progressive forces of our people.”
During his weekly program, Gikan sa Masa Para sa Masa, Sunday, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte appealed to Davaoenos to obey the rules.
Calls for the resumption of the stalled peace talks between the Communist Party of the Philippines and the Aquino government have gained support from the local government as the former marked its 46th year founding anniversary.
