Tagum university wants bill junked on merging all State schools

Saying it will destroy the whole university system, a high ranking school official of the government-ran University of Southeastern Phillippines (Usep) here wanted the bill junked that seeks to merge state universities and colleges in Davao del Norte province.

Bangsamoro success to make federalism more popular

If the Bangsamoro entity in Mindanao gets enacted, federalism would ride high on its success and to be drummed up much easier on the platform that provinces continued to be neglected by the national government, Mindanao leaders said.

Volunteers, environment group cite lapses in TreeVolution

Farmers to lose lands in DavOr palm-oil shift

Survivors of Typhoon Pablo doubted that the government’s plan to shift to planting palm oil from coconut trees in Davao Oriental will help them recover from the 2012 disaster, saying it will only “intensify land-grabbing” of their farm and ancestral lands.
