Polls still BEIs’, voters’ nightmare

The machine started rejecting ballots at past nine in the morning forcing the BEIs to shut down the machine.  To the dismay of first-time voters who were excited to experience casting their votes the automated way, the ballots were dropped manually at the PCOS machine bin, before BEIs took it out and placed it in a separate folder for counting.

According to poll watchdog Kontra Daya, machines in Panacan didn’t immediately turned on while those in Don Julian Elementary School in Agdao just shut down.

Poll watchdog Kontra Daya said vote buying in Davao Oriental “is a common knowledge,” this is as they monitored fraud, corruption and violence in Pablo-hit areas like Lupon, Mati and Baganga.
