Around 4 pm, Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio filed her candidacy for reelection as mayor without much fanfare in the field office of Comelec in Magsaysay Park, Davao City, escorted only by presidential guards.
The City Government of Davao is set to roll out its COVID-19 vaccination for 12 to 17 year old persons on October 15 after getting approval from the Department of Health.
Mayor Sara Duterte said they are considering incentives such as gift checks for groceries that will be given for people who have taken the first dose.
In their letter to COMELEC chair Sheriff Abas, the groups are urging the election body to “proactively integrate waste and toxic prevention in the conduct of the upcoming elections.”
