Palace declares state of emergency over COVID-19 outbreak

President Duterte has signed on Sunday, March 8, Proclamation No.922 declaring a state of Public Health Emergency nationwide following the confirmation of local transmission of coronavirus disease in the Philippines.

In the age of social media, young women more vulnerable to abuse

Many young women, especially within urban poor communities, are becoming more vulnerable to the "prevalent" cases of prostitution. This time, this happens through social media networks, said a non-governmental organization helping prostituted women and children on Sunday.
