Banana plantation guards spray bullets against farmer beneficiaries, 7 hurt

At least seven were wounded on Monday morning after security personnel of banana magnate Lapanday Food Corporation went on a shooting spree against members of the Madaum Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries, Inc., (Marbai) and the Unyon Sa Mga Mag-Uuma Alang Sa Tinood Nga Repormang Agraryo.

Dabawenyos weigh in on death penalty  

Some residents here are in favor of bringing back capital punishment in the country to curb criminality while others fear the poor will only suffer the backlash under what they dubbed as a “draconian measure” as showed in a random interview conducted by Davao Today.
