Call for Justice Deepens 5 Months after Yolanda, US-Aquino Regime Slammed for Being ‘Useless

The League of Filipino Students (LFS) joined thousands of youth, typhoon victims and survivors, and other organizations in a mobilization from Mendiola today. The said protest marks the commemoration of the 5th month since super typhoon Yolanda’s (Haiyan) devastation of Eastern Visayas. According to LFS, this day also marks the 5th month of the derelict disaster response and criminal neglect of the Aquino government.

Military again resorts to alibi in the Cadapan-Empeno kidnapping case hearing

The defense failed to present its witness for the 5th time in yesterday’s hearing at Malolos Regional Trial Court in Bulacan. Atty. Jose Cruz, lawyer of M. Sgt. Edgardo Osorio, did not show up “because of an emergency matter in the family.”

Government officials have assured business leaders here that flight operations at Cotabato (Awang) Airport willl resume normal operations in August this year, with the expected completion of runway and taxiway expansion project earlier than the original target.

Comments on the Philippine case before ITLOS and Arbitral Tribunal

The national democratic movement must stand firm for national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and should not give a chance be misrepresented as pro-China on the issue at hand... It should assert that the islands in question belong to the Filipino people in accordance with the UNCLOS.
