3,000 gov’t troops to secure Kadayawan festival

Around 3,000 police and military personnel are deployed to secure the city for the 31st Kadayawan sa Dabaw festival which kicks off today, August 15.

CPP: Duterte’s war on drugs ‘bound to fail’

The Communist Party of the Philippines said it will no longer support the anti-drug war of President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration, which they say is “bound to fail” following the increasing number of extra-judicial killings of suspected drug personalities.
