DAVAO CITY— The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) bagged the most number of awards during the 115th  Police Service Anniversary held at the Police Regional Office (PRO) XI headquarters, when no less than PNP Chief, Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa gave the awards.

DCPO spokesperson Senior Inspector Catherine dela Rey announced that the Talomo Police Station got the best Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) award urban category and the Davao Public Safety Company is the best Public Safety Company this year.

For the special awards, DCPO got the recognition of unit with the most number of firearms accounted during the election period, recognition of unit with the most number of notable accomplishment in the campaign against illegal drugs, and recognition of unit with the most number of notable accomplishment in the project double barrel.

In DCPO, two individual awards went to Police Chief Inspector Ramil Macarampat for being the best junior commissioned officer and SPO4 Rosevier Jorolan for best noncommissioned officer.

Aside from DCPO, Dela Rosa awarded Davao del Norte Police Provincial Office (DNPPO) as the best police provincial police office, Sto. Tomas Municipal Police Station WCPD of DNPPO as the Best women and children protection, rural category.

He also awarded Bansalan Municipal Police Station as the Best Municipal Police Station and Digos City Police Station as the Best Component City Police Station.

Dela Rosa gave a special award also to DNPPO as for the unit that accounted for the Most number of loose firearms for calendar year (CY) 2015 and recognition for the unit with the most number of notable accomplishment in the implementation of project double barrel.

Meanwhile, during the program, Dela Rosa also turned over 20 units of Mahindra patrol vehicles to be use for the administrative offices.

PRO-Davao spokesperson Chief Inspector Andrea dela Cerna said that the Mahindra vehicle will be distributed to the PRO XI headquarters, Regional Finance Service Office 11 (RFSO) XI, Regional Director of Regional Internal Affairs Service (RIAS), Regional Special Training Unit (RSTU), Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU), Eastern Mindanao Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU), Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS) of Davao del Norte, DCPO for the intelligence and investigation, Davao City Tourist Police Units (TPU), Padada and Sta.
