Legislators under Bayan Muna has expressed their opposition to the proposed Charter change (Cha-cha) anew, saying it is the most dangerous because it will open up the country further to foreign countries like China.
Those who oppose the proposed amendments of the Constitution has found an ally in administration senator, Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, as he emphasized he will vote against any move to change it.
A lawmaker is optimistic that the proposed amendments to the country’s 1987 Constitution will be passed in Congress and ratified before the term of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte ends in 2022.
