Proposal to amend traffic code raised

Councilor Pilar Braga, in her privilege speech on Tuesday, proposed to amend the Ordinance No. 0334-12 known as the Comprehensive Transport and Traffic Code of Davao City.

Progressive group Bayan Muna expressed alarm over the powers that President Rodrigo Duterte will possess as stipulated in the proposed amendment of the 1987 Constitution, describing the same as too excessive and very dangerous.

Contractualization, low wages, harassments plague workers in Southern Mindanao

Workers led by Kilusang Mayo Uno Southern Mindanao (KMU-SMR) kicked off the pre-SONA (State of the Nation Address) protests saying that workers rights and welfare has never been a priority of the current administration.
