Groups welcome House resolution urging peace talks resumption

Various multi-sectoral groups welcomed the efforts of 61 members of the House of Representatives who filed House Resolution 1803 which urged the government to resume its stalled peace negotiations with the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP).

Maria Imelda Josefa “Imee” Marcos has reiterated her interest to run in the senatorial race next year although she has not confirmed it if she would be in the final list of the slate as the country’s ruling political party has recently divulged the initial list of its candidates for the 2019 midterm elections.
