A New Year’s wish unfulfilled for sick, elderly prisoners  

Authorities did not release any elderly or sickly political prisoner during the Christmas holidays, contrary to an earlier pronouncement made by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and later statements made by his peace panel officials.

CPP at 48: ‘People’s democratic revolution’ essential to achieve lasting peace

The Communist Party of the Philippines formally launched Monday the “National Peace Assembly for Just and Lasting Peace” which highlights the importance of the “people’s democratic revolution” to achieving a genuine lasting peace.
