The resumption of peace negotiations between the Philippine government and the National Democratic Front of the Philippines may happen in August or September this year, the Communist Party of the Philippines said Wednesday.

Army warns public vs bogus fund raising activities for soldiers in Marawi

An official of the Armed Forces of the Philippines warned the public on Wednesday against scammers who raised money by conducting dinners, lunches and other similar activities to raise funds for the soldiers in the besieged Marawi City.

Crisis committee: No hunger in evacuation centers

Spokesperson Zia Alonto-Adiong of the Provincial Crisis Management Committee denied earlier reports that some displaced families from Marawi have already experienced hunger inside evacuation centers, and that others were already forced to eat blankets and food boxes.

Learning spaces in evacuation centers to help displaced school children from Marawi

The Department of Education is now establishing learning spaces inside the evacuation centers and public schools here that will provide conducive areas for displaced schoolchildren from Marawi to study their lessons.
