USEP opens basic Japanese, Mandarin courses

DAVAO CITY — In July 2007, the University of Southeastern Philippines through its Institute of Languages (ILs) shall offer three special language courses: Basic 1 Japanese, Basic 2 Japanese and Basic 1 Mandarin. These programs focus on conversational and functional Japanese and Mandarin languages.

Australian support to Muslim education in Philippines, a model of success in Asean

COTABATO CITY — Officials from the Thailand Ministry of Education and Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA) recently visited Davao to learn about the education approaches being undertaken by the Basic Education Assistance for Mindanao (BEAM) Project in aid of the Philippine Muslim Education.

BEAM is a partnership of the Philippine Department of Education (DepEd) and the Australian Government through the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID).
