Lumads protest CHR’s snail-paced action on killings

Delegates of the human rights caravan, Manilakbayan from Mindanao marched from their camp inside the University of the Philippines Diliman to the national office of the Commission on Human Rights on Wednesday morning to condemn the agency's "slow response" on the investigation of the cases of Lumad killings in Mindanao.

Red-tagging, vilification push Lumad to march to Manila

Ariel Casilao, Anakpawis Partylist first nominee, said that accusing the Lumads and their supporters as communists or NPAs "is the reason why there are illegal detention, massacres and killings in Mindanao".
