Army presence halted Lumad school classes

A children’s advocacy group said classes were disrupted as school children were “too afraid to go to school” after military troops “encamped” in their classrooms in a farflung village in Compostela, Compostela Valley province.

Bayan spokesperson bares threat

The spokesperson of the militant Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) took to the media to make public the threats she has been receiving from a man claiming to be a “government national security consultant” of an organization working for the government.
