Philippines: Moro groups urge junking of Human Security Act

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — “We appeal and call the attention of the upper house in the senate as well as lawmakers in the Congress to question the Human Security Act in the Supreme Court, as these unlawful and inhuman law approved by Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as this was set to be implemented this coming July 2007 (next month) after she signed it last February 2007,” Abubakar Uy said Suara Bangsamoro Secretary General in Southern Mindanao Region.
