Customized Local Road Vehicle workshop set in June

DAVAO CITY, May 21 — In the pursuit of modernizing the Customized Local Road Vehicle (CLRV) with focus on the utility vehicle category, a seminar-workshop on CLRV is set on June 14, 2012 at Davao City’s Grand Regal Hotel.

The Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) spearheads the activity.  It will present the current situation of the local automotive industry in the region, including the profile of enterprises, types of vehicle manufacturers, production data, specifications of manufactured vehicles, the assembly process and automotive parts and its sources.

Local assemblers and manufacturers of public utility vehicles in the region are urged to participate in the event to give insights and share their experiences on local vehicle manufacturing accreditation and registration.  DOST further urged interested parties to confirm attendance on or before June 6.

Registration to the seminar-workshop is free.

Interested assemblers and manufacturers may contact DOST’s Engr. Benjamin VD. Estrellado, Jr. for inquiries or information at telephone number 221-5428.  (DOST-XI)
