ASKER, Norway — Minutes before signing the joint statement on the second round of talks between the government and the National Democratic Front of the Philippines, the heads of both Parties took a short break at the Holmenfjord Hotell here in Asker, a municipality part of the Akershus county in the Oslo region in Norway.

The signing of the joint statement took place around 2:00 in the afternoon (Oslo time).

The signing was also witnessed by members of the Filipino community. (davaotoday.com)

Fidel Agcaoili signs a shirt of a Filipino migrant who dropped by the hotel to witness the peace negotiations. Several Filipino migrant workers also joined the program organized by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process after the peace talks.
