Families of five barangay officials make their plea with peace advocates here in Davao for the release of their relatives captured by the New People’s Army in Sabu, Loreto, Agusan del Sur. The officials were captured last October on allegations they are members of paramilitary groups that harassed the community. Mothers of tortured sons want military men, militia haled to court
Two Agusan del Sur minors who were accused and detained of purportedly taking part in the killing of a barangay captain were released from a youth facility here Wednesday. Their mothers, however, wanted justice to grind on the militia men and Army personnel who allegedly tortured their sons.
