Retired police edges barangay captain implicated in leaked sex photos

In the city’s biggest barangay Bucana 76-A, a tight race for the post of barangay captain saw former barangay councilor (kagawad) Rolando Trajera beating incumbent Robert Olanolan, who figured recently in leaked nude photos with his former girlfriend.

Monday's barangay election posed the same problem: Voters failing to find their names, teachers serving as board of election tellers (BETs) exhausted while delivering ballot boxes late at night to the Commission on Elections.

Peaceful turnout of polls belie ‘critical’ tag of Paquibato

The only trouble these teachers, acting as board of election tellers (BET) encountered were dead people included in the voters’ list, a drunk entering the voting premises in Mapula Elementary School and acting as a guide, and residents claimed other voters’ identities in a school in Salapawan village.
