As per total canvassed votes released by Comelec-Tagum City, Rellon got 54,492 votes while Gementiza got 51,845 votes.

Canvassing was temporarily stopped due to the malfunctioning compact flash cards and the precinct count optical scan (PCOS) machines in two clustered precincts of two villages. The Comelec said they are anticipating for more or less a thousand votes to be canvassed.

Benigno Andamon, village captain of Tibal-og, was proclaimed as the town’s Mayor-elect with 17, 189 votes while Daniel Batosalem Jr. won the vice-mayoralty post with 27, 595 votes.
