Region’s athletes lagging behind other Pinoy student players

Student players in the region could barely compete with counterparts from other areas in the country, a sour note pointed out by the local Department of Education chief at the opening of the Davao Region Athletic Association (DAVRAA) Meet last Sunday at the Sports and Tourism complex here.

Only 10-12% passing rate in Civil Service Exams in Davao

The passing rate for those who took the career service examinations for entry to government positions has only reached 10 to 12% for some 15,000 takers in Davao and Tagum Cities last year.
