Small miners surprised at ID requirement

Small-scale miners from the gold-rich town of Pantukan, Compostela Valley cried foul to the latest move of large-scale mining company National Development Corporation (Nadecor) which allegedly put up a steel gate and told them to get an identification card from the mining regulatory agencies of the government.

Sumfiru banana workers file case against gun-toting contract grower

The workers' union of a banana plantation in Compostela Valley filed a complaint against the contract grower for alleged threat and harassment when he reportedly brandished and fired his gun to disperse the rally of workers.
