BLAZE IN MAPA STREET

Firefighters responded to a fire along Barangay 12-B on V. Mapa Street that razed around 60 houses Thursday morning. Residents said the fire started on a flat iron left alone in the house of Barangay Captain Nilda Tumabang. No casualties were reported, but the fire forced the nearby JP Laurel Elementary School to suspend its classes. (davaotoday.com photo by Ace R. Morandate)
