AFP general’s threats on women celebs spark movement vs red-tagging

Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) official and National Task Force to End Local Communist Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) spokesperson Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. has drawn flak for issuing threatening remarks against actress Liza Soberano and 2018 Ms. Universe Catriona Gray, some of the female celebrities who are vocal on their advocacies.

Pork still present in 2014 budget

"They say there is no more pork or PDAF but why are congressmen and senators allowed to determine projects worth P 24 million? The mere fact that legislators each have P24M of hard projects practically at their disposal and there is no semblance of realignment on the president’s allocation, so far, is proof that the pork barrel still exists,” said Gabriela Partylist Representative Luzviminda Ilagan.
