Region XI’s COVID-19 cases breach 4,000 mark; Davao City with highest active cases

The Department of Health in the region (DOH-11) has reported 561 new cases of COVID-19 from October 17-23, bringing the total number of cases to 4,474. The center said that 1,012 of these are active cases.

And while this seems to be the most efficient way to identify who “passes” and who “fails”, it disregards the human aspect of education. In fact, it is this obsession with efficiency and production that reveals how misplaced the priority of our education system is.
