DAVAO CITY – More than 1,000 employees of the City Government of Tagum are expected to benefit from the recent agreements entered by the city government with different institutions as a “fitting gift”.

According the the City Information Office of Tagum, the local government signed an agreement with the Medical Mission Group of Hospitals “which will cater the LGUs [local government unit] 356 Plantilla personnel in relation to the medical procedure and service that will be performed on said workers during their Annual Physical Examination.”

On September 7, the LGU of Tagum also signed separate Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) between the Land Bank of the Philippines and the Tagum City Employees Cooperative.

The agreement “will allow the 1,360 program-based workers of the city who render their services through job order contracts to receive their salaries via automated teller machines (ATM).”

CIO said the agreement will lessen the city treasurer’s office transactions related to job order employees and will accommodate more public transactions.

Meanwhile, the MOA with the Tagum City Employees Cooperative (TACECO) will allow Taceco to utilize stall No. 43-B located at Tagum Cultural and Trade Center for free. (davaotoday.com)
