Davao del Sur will host the National Rice Congress this coming March 18-20 where around 2,000 farmers are expected to attend.
“This is a yearly activity where the Rice Board serves as the organizer for this event,” provincial rice program coordinator Nani Marfil said.
Varied inputs and reform measures embodied under the rice program will be tackled during the first two days of the congress.
Around 500 agricultural extension workers including farmers in Davao del Sur and Davao Occidental provinces are also set to join the congress.
