Actor Robin Padilla appealed anew to lawmakers to pass the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL).
I am knocking at the hearts of our beloved senators and congressmen to not allow emotions drive their decision on Bangsamoro. I hope they would carefully study and understand the Bangsamoro first),” Padilla said in a radio interview with DZMM last week.
Padilla said he believed the peace deal that the Moro Islamic Liberation Front signed with the administration of President Benigno S. Aquino III would provide real autonomy and principled leadership that could make political autonomy work in resolving the Moro question.
He said he was disappointed by the vast lack of understanding of the Mindanao conflict and the Moro culture among national leaders.
I was saddened when I attended a forum on the history of Bangsamoro, and not one of our legislators even attended. It would have been better of they attended so they could learn the history of Bangsamoro, and not shoot it down without really understanding it),” Padilla said.
