Militant groups led by Bagong Alyansang Makabayan from Southern Tagalog will hold a protest action at the House of Representatives as Congress resumes probe on the Mamasapano incident today.
The group will also hold a vigil from April 7 to 8. Flor Chan of Bayan said they would like to “ensure that all responsible authorities will be held accountable in the bloodbath that resulted to the death of 44 SAF members and civilians.
“Senate and BOI reports point to President Aquino as implicated in the bloody Mamasapano clash, thus, it is imperative that he attend the hearing. Aquino’s accountability in the incident, made worse by his incompetent leadership, gross negligence for the welfare of ordinary citizens and massive graft and corruption, make the call for his resignation more timely at this point,” Chan said.
