DAVAO CITY – A total of 12,750 sets of school packs, consisting of notebooks, papers and pens, were distributed by the City Government of Tagum to the scholars of the local government and children belonging to the indigenous peoples and Muslim communities on Friday.
Walk-in recipients were also given the same sets of school packs, which were funded through the Local Government’s General and Special Education Funds, respectively.
Mayor Allan L. Rellon said the “Oplan Tabang Eskwela” aims to ease the burden of parents in purchasing school supplies for their children.
Rellon also said that they will also be roving schools on the first week of the new school year to distribute free school supplies.
