The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and its regional European group, the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ), today expressed their full solidarity for journalists and their unions in Greece, who will go on a 24 hours media strike on Tuesday 8th May to protest government mismanagement of their pension and insurance funds.

EFJ Says New Study Shows EU Needs Better Laws to Protect Investigative Journalism

Oxfam urges cancellation of Pfizer’s patent on hypertension drug

MANILA, Philippines — International agency, Oxfam urges the Intellectual Property Office
(IPO) to cancel the patent of Pfizer on anti-hypertension drug,
Norvasc in the Philippines following the recent decision of the US
Court of Appeals nullifying the patent granted to Pfizer for
amlodipine besylate, Norvasc’s active ingredient.
