Endangered Megamouth shark caught, slaughtered in CDO

A Megamouth shark (Megachasma pelagios) that was caught by a fisherman off Macabalan Bay Friday morning may have swum to shallow waters to prey on food, an officer from the regional Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR-10) said.

Customs ships back e-wastes to Hong Kong

The environmental watchdog EcoWaste Coalition has reminded the government not to allow the country to become the world’s garbage dump, as the 2.561 tons of electronic wastes (e-wastes) from China’s special administrative region of Hong Kong were sent back to its point of origin Monday noon.
