‘Horrifying’: Lopez says 37 of 75 MPSA to be cancelled are in Mindanao

Mindanao watersheds have 37 mineral production sharing agreements, a number which Environmental Secretary Gina Lopez described as “horrifying.”

NDRRMC: 8 dead, more than 1,000 houses damaged in Surigao quake

There are now eight fatalities in Surigao City after the 6.7 magnitude earthquake rocked the province of Surigao del Norte.

Green group hits Palace’s ‘flip-flop’ on mine closure  

Kalikasan People’s Network for the Environment statement came as the Duterte administration reportedly stopped the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ closure and suspension orders to some 28 large-scale mining operations to “observe due process.”
