Militant groups led by Bagong Alyansang Makabayan-Socsksargen held an indignation rally at the gates of the Glencore-Xstrata-SMI Office in General Santos City Monday to denounce the killing of Fulong (Tribal Chieftain) Anting Freay, 60 and his son 16-year old Victor on August 23.
President Aquino could be getting a failing grade for failing to stop corruption, according to educators who participated in Monday’s march-rally for the abolition of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or pork barrel.
Many participants in Davao’s Million People March were first-timers and found the march-rally ‘inspiring’ and ‘educational.’
Fr. Tabora, who spoke during the rally, said “we deserve nothing but the absolute truth from our leaders in government. How are public funds being spent? Napoles has brought the “decaying rat” from the stinking closet into the open. She has exposed the dishonor in the pomp and ritual of the ’honorables’.”

I have yet to see and hear in the media a Moro politician speak openly for the abolition of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF)or commonly called Pork Barrel. Since this debate raged on in Congress, the Moro politicians have been silent about PDAF. Worse, some sang the initial tune of President Benigno Aquino III and House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte – that is in defense of the pork.
