Carlos Conde, researcher for Asia Division of Human Rights Watch, said the deaths of two broadcast journalists and the attack on a newspaper columnist “highlight the need for the Duterte administration to deliver on promises to apprehend those responsible for the killings of journalists.”

Fight vs. impunity, media killings must not end—NUJP Davao

Keep the flame burning and fight against impunity and journalist killings. This was the rallying call of the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines Davao City Chapter as the group commemorated Wednesday the seventh year of the Ampatuan Massacre.
