MANILA — Convenors of the Black and White Movement ? Enteng Romano III, Manolo Quezon III, Leah Navarro, together with former DSWD Secretary Dinky Soliman, arrived in Naga City today to show their support to beleaguered Naga City Mayor Jesse Robredo and white listed candidate for the 1st District of Camarines Sur, Sabas “Abang” Mabulo.

MANILA — We are all aware of the many high profile incidents of election related violence and harassment. Since November, our electoral watch dog partner, COMPACT, has been compiling information ? to date, over 100 killed, about as many injured. All this violence perpetrated with the intent to either grab power or retain it by politicians that wish only to “serve the people”.

The Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. and its subsidiary Smart Communications Inc. are expecting more than 300 delegates from over 110 telecommunications carriers and entities from Asia, Europe and the Pacific Rim to attend the 3rd Asian Carriers Conference (ACC) in Cebu City from May 15 to 18, 2007.

MANILA — The Philippine human rights organization KARAPATAN, joins the families of victims of human rights violations and concerned Filipinos in urging the United Nations to set up a special tribunal to hear the cases of extrajudicial executions, disappearances and other human rights violations committed by the Arroyo regime against the Filipino people.
