For Mindanao veggie group, consolidation is key

TAGUM CITY — Vegetable farmers in southern Mindanao should organize themselves and utilize the ?cluster? farming approach as a strategy to raise the value of their produce and increase their access to lucrative domestic markets.

This was among the key recommendations made during the recently-concluded 3rd Southern Mindanao Vegetable Conference.

Australian support to Muslim education in Philippines, a model of success in Asean

COTABATO CITY — Officials from the Thailand Ministry of Education and Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA) recently visited Davao to learn about the education approaches being undertaken by the Basic Education Assistance for Mindanao (BEAM) Project in aid of the Philippine Muslim Education.

BEAM is a partnership of the Philippine Department of Education (DepEd) and the Australian Government through the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID).
