Militant solon bats for hike in workers’ pay; regularization as Labor Day nears

A militant lawmaker on Friday urged the Duterte administration to implement a pay hike as it also called for the regularization of workers across the country days before the observance of Labor Day on May 1.

Blood spills, harassment against workers continue in Duterte admin

A labor rights organization on Friday said that 14 workers were killed in what it described as a “politically motivated” killings and labor harassments continued under the Duterte administration.

Contractualization in DOLE Order 174 is alive—KMU

Saying that labor contractualization is still alive under the Department of Labor and Employment Order No. 174, members of the militant labor group Kilusang Mayo Uno pressed on Wednesday President Rodrigo Duterte to junk the latest guideline.
