People simply do not buy repeated hectoring by the President and her allies that charter change will bring the country to paradise and news that she is sick generates further expectations for her to step down. The survival options for the besieged President have simply depreciated.

For the second year, Davao City won the Green Banner Award, one of the prestigious and outstanding awards given to a local government unit, city or municipality of the region because of its relentless campaign in promoting and implementing its nutrition program.
The University of the Philippines Center for Local and Regional Governance after conducting the nationwide search for the Most Outstanding Provincial, City and Municipal Mayors, gave the outstanding municipal mayor award to Mayor Maximo M. Estela, MD of Sto. Tomas at the awarding ceremonies held at the Pecson Room, Senate of the Philippines Building in Pasay City, Metro Manila.
Nelly and Federico Intise, a Davao City couple known for their work in the NGO community, disappeared last month without a trace. Davao Today contributor Gingging Avellanosa, a friend of Nelly?s, writes that anxious family and friends believe that the military took them.
