MANILA — The Philippine human rights alliance KARAPATAN welcomed the planned probe on extrajudicial killings of former soldier and now senator-elect Antonio Trillanes.
KARAPATAN Secretary General Marie Hilao-Enriquez said, “We laud Senator Trillanes for this move to put the Arroyo administration to task for the unabated extrajudicial killings.”

Because the public did not believe the lies and deceptions of the military under Brig. Gen. Carlos Holganza, chief of 101st Infantry Brigade, that Grecil Buya was an NPA ?child-soldier?, he is now resorting to fabrication of lies and more lies by claiming that Grecil was killed by bullets coming from New People?s Army (NPA). He cited a so-called ?Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO)? report that the rebels who positioned at the lower ground started firing towards the soldiers and at the house were Grecil was staying while the rebels were retreating.

MANILA — The Ecumenical Movement for Justice and Peace (EMJP), together with other human rights organizations, raises its voice today in opposing the implementation of the Human Security Act of 2007 or Republic Act 9372 or simply called the Anti-Terror Law.
