The government's Anti-Terrorism Council has designated the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) as a "terrorist organization/ association" in its Resolution number 21 signed on June 23 but announced early this week.

Church leaders remain hopeful peace talks will work this time

President Duterte may have been swayed by peace spoilers, specifically coming from within the ranks of the military, when he decided to dissolve the peace panel negotiating with the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) and eventually terminated the services of its members.
