Group warns gov’t: Prepare contingency for OFWs in Greece

The Trade Union Congress of the Philippines-Nagkaisa (TUCP-Nagkaisa) is urging the Philippine government to prepare for contingency plans for Filipino migrant workers in Greece who will be affected by the week-long bank holiday to avoid running out of cash after the country voted to rejected the other day the terms of the International Monetary Fund bailout.

A labor group on Tuesday tells fast food giant Jollibee Food Corporation (JFC) to practice what it preaches after an official of the company released a statement Monday that reminded the general public to treat their dispatched riders with the respect after a deceitful customer posted how he fooled the food company’s delivery crew went viral on social media.

Workers hit non-implementation of GMA and Tanduay NLRC rulings

Militant labor group Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU) led a picket in front of the National Labor Relations Commission office in Quezon City on Monday to condemn the non-implementation of the agency’s ruling ordering giant television network GMA-7 to regularize 107 of its contractual workers.
