DAVAO CITY — The 31st Kadayawan sa Dabaw 2016 celebration formally started on Monday, August 15 at the People’s Park in Davao City.

Before the opening program, a photo exhibit which featured the 11 tribes of the city titled “Kinabuhi: A Photo Exhibit” was also opened at 3:00 pm at the Durian Dome in People’s Park.

At around 5:00 in the afternoon, after a thanksgiving mass celebrated by Archbishop Romulo Valles of the Archdiocese of Davao, the Kadayawan sa Dabaw 2016 was formally opened by cultural performances.
