DOH XI reports over 10K tuberculosis cases in Jan-June 2023
The Department of Health (DOH) XI has reported 10,363 cases of Tuberculosis (TB) in the region from January to June this year. But this is not alarming, the agency said.

DOH conducts ‘aggressive community testing’ on 3,400 persons in Davao Region
Health officials of Davao conducted a four-day aggressive community testing (ACT) that swabbed 3,430 persons in Davao City, parts of Davao del Norte, and Davao del Sur that are classified high-risk areas for coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.
Region XI’s COVID-19 cases breach 4,000 mark; Davao City with highest active cases
The Department of Health in the region (DOH-11) has reported 561 new cases of COVID-19 from October 17-23, bringing the total number of cases to 4,474. The center said that 1,012 of these are active cases.
Survey says Davao youth starts drinking, smoking as early as 12 years old
A recent survey conducted by the Institute of Popular Opinion (IPO) of the University of Mindanao revealed that the youth here started smoking and drinking when they were 12 years old, six years earlier than the common age.
