?Almost two decades ago, we took up the fight for Ma. Luisa Posa-Dominado?s freedom from the detention cells of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. It is logical to come again to the doorstep of Luisa?s former captors, with her recent abduction, and ask: Where is Luisa now?? said Rep. Liza Maza, representative of Gabriela Women?s Party.

GWP hits regime for abduction of woman human rights defender

?This regime, true to its anti-women and violent nature, seems intent on silencing every woman who dared speak against it. Maria Luisa Posa-Dominado who was abducted last night in Panay Island has been hounded by similar threats since the 80s when she began her work as a woman activist. Now, though the administration has succeeded in abducting Luisa, her fellow women will not rest until she is released.?

Gabriela Calls for Full Protection of Women in Workplaces as High Court Favors Case of Fired Pregnant Woman

DAVAO CITY?Gabriela Women?s Partylist called today all institutions and offices to implement full protection for women in their workplaces after the Supreme Court recently decided in favor of the fired woman due to her pregnancy in 1995.
