Red-tagged union leader teacher arrested in Caraga

Several days after the memorandum of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) tagging Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) and COURAGE as communist fronts was exposed, the military and police arrested another progressive leader in Caraga region on March 17.

Five activists were killed and at least three others were arrested in what appeared to be government crackdown on progressives in Southern Luzon early this morning, March 7.

Aeta farmers charged under anti-terror law seek inclusion in the petitions

Hours before the start of the oral arguments on the petitions against the anti-terror law on February 2, the two Aeta farmers, who have been jailed and first to be charged under the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020 (ATA), filed a petition requesting the Supreme Court (SC) to include them in the 37 petitions that seek to declare the law void.
