?If OFW voters are disillusioned and disenfranchised, it?s because of the Arroyo regime. MANILA — The Philippines is slated to host a global forum on migration next year in an effort to resolve the serious problems in the deployment of Filipino workers abroad.
Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Esteban Conejos revealed this today in the television program, “The Cabinet Speaks” hosted by Press Undersecretary Martin Crisostomo and GMA Channel 7 reporter Ralph Guzman, at the New Executive Building (NEB) of Malacanang.

MANILA — The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) requires household service workers for deployment to obtain a Household Services National Certificate issued officially by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). This POEA mandate is part of a series of reforms to upgrade work standards and to safeguard the welfare of OFWs. To date, TESDA has certified 11,526 household workers.
